The Classic Negroni

Drink’s History

The most widely reported version of this drink’s origin is that it was invented at Caffe Casoni in Florence, Italy in 1919. Legend tells that Count Camillo Negroni asked his friend, bartender Forsco Scarselli, to strengthen his favourite cocktail – the Americano – by replacing the soda water with gin.

The Negroni is a popular Italian cocktail, A traditionally made Negroni is stirred, made over ice in an old-fashioned or rocks glass and garnished with a slice of orange.

 

  • 1.5 oz of Campari
  • 1.5 oz of Gordons Gin
  • 1.5 oz of Vermouth Rosso

Instruction:
Stir with Ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with orange twist or wedge. Can also be served on the rocks.
